Tim Wise was born on October 4th, 1968 in Nashville, Tennessee. Because he was born into a Jewish family with European decent, he regularly practiced Judaism in his household as a child.
At just twelve years old, Wise attended John Trotwood Moore Junior High, as well as experienced a bomb threat at his Jewish synagogue, which was placed by white supremacists neo-Nazis and members of the Klu Klux Klan. In high school, Wise was an policy debater who competed on the national circuit level, as well as served as the student body vice-president of Hillsboro High School. After graduating from high school, Wise attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science. Since college, Wise has gotten married to Kristy Cason and has had two daughters.
